Does anyone have any tips for sealing the rear gear diff on a Xi sport?
I just rebuilt mine with new gasket and o rings. And the thing is still leaking oil out.
Using 2000 wt oil and I am careful when building. I think might have to use some sort of gasket sealant??
Any advice appreciated.
Thanks.

Use green slime from associated to lube the o-rings and gasket. And be careful when tightening the diff.

I read these Yeah springs http://www.rcmart.com/yeah-racing-p-...?cPath=389_443 should be fine.
I should target 12-15lbs/in.
How stiff is the rating if standard pink ones?
Does it really improve car handling?
I have the same feeling that the standard spring are too tall.

Yes, 00000000 recommended the TRF springs and I will say that they have been very good. I'm using 2nd stiffest in the front and the middle spring at the rear.
But I have no idea what rate they are..

I keep thinking about getting the carbon chassis and top deck.
I'm still learning, so I doubt the std ones are holding me back at the moment. But I keep improving the car and it gets easier to drive too. So..?

Servo recommendation and gearing.
Hey everyone I just got my xi sport. What servo do you guys recommend? Also I have a 21.5 motor so I was curious what you guys have the gearing on it set to and if I need to get new gears for it. Thanks

My son's Sakura is pulling left under heavy acceleration.
At constant speed, the car is going straight.
I have checked the transmission (CVD) and everything is OK
From a setting standpoint (shock, toe, camber, spring, droop....) the right and left are perfectly identic.
However when I put the chassis (after removing wheels and shocks) on a glass table, the rear right is not on the table (rear left and front right and left are perfectly on the table). So I suspect the chassis to be slightly tweaked.
My question is how to fix it?

Have the battery and everything in the car, remove the wheels. Put the chassis on a flat glass top or straight table / wood / board.
Undo the top deck screws (which will release the tweak, most of it if any)
Undo the shock tower screws that bolt to the bulkhead. First push down on the center of the shock towers and tighten them accordingly. Then have a straight bar go from shock tower to shock tower and gently push down... and tighten the top deck screws in a X type pattern. This should be done almost every round especially if the car is off the boards a lot.
I would then check droop, camber, toe, ride height etc

Also check the spring perches, if one needs to be cranked way down versus the other side you my have more to look at. Check before and after you correct the tweak

what size bodies have you guys been using on this car?
#1200
190mm TC bodies for 17.5 stock
190mm scale bodies for 21.5 scale spec
