Has anyone found an aluminum servo horn that works well as a replacement to the stock one? Mine pulled the ball stud right out of the plastic in the last race and I'd prefer to replace it with something a bit stronger.

Has anyone else had trouble with the knuckles being tight? Assembling the car, everything seemed to work nice and smooth with little resistance. After running a few laps, both knuckles are equally as tight - just tight enough that my servo is having trouble centering the steering. The car is pretty tough to drive because of this. I have a new set of knuckles, but they're identical to the originals, not the revised version, so I'm a little concerned that I'll have the same problem. Is it possible that my balls were made too big?

I would make sure you have not tightened the front kingpins too much,as I did this and it made my steering very tight.
Reason being the kingpin if tightened too much will push into the ball on the upper arm.

I've been using a medium Kimbrough servo saver, it's a good fit and in my opinion a must for the brutality that is open wheel F1 racing :-)

I'm running the bell crank steering though not the Tamiya style setup. A servo saver is giong to stick out too far to keep the correct geometry.

SpeedPassion has aluminum servo horns available for the SP1, have you tried one of those yet?

I'm enjoying racing my SP-1, but I'm frustrated at the parts situation; which is making me resist buying the hop-ups I desire.

I broke another RH steering upright at the weekend (my bad driving), none in stock in the worldwide store, or anywhere else I can find that will ship to the UK (the USA store will not).

I've now purchased some CRC 1:12 uprights & steering arms as they look like they'll fit with minor mods, & are readily available in the UK.

2 areas you need to look for...

(1) the slotted capture insert - loosen it up a little just to make sure the knuckle turn around smoothly, sometime, it will be tighten up by itself due to any impact...check that first.

(2)...someone already mentioned it, the king pin, it cannot be turn all the way in by too much...usually need to have a about 0.5 to 1mm front droop.

Last...check all the ball cup and ball head.
