WSA and WSB are the same rubber as the regular A and B takeoffs but with less rubber (thinner) so they are lighter, wear faster and came in a set of 4 with inserts. I don't think they sell them anymore.

WSA are soft and wear out fast where the belt overlaps so I use take off cs22's for cold weather soft tires (decent wear by the way). WSB are warm weather tires (comparable to take off cs27 or 32) and so have longer durability and are actually very durable compared to yoke139g's. After 4 runs I still see the mold lines down the middle of the tire and I knew people were using year old WSB at the nats. WSB are the tires I believe Simo used to win the Finnish nats and are still available from Take Off.

A racer buddy of mine "civic91", had the same problem with his Sorex tires. He said they would actually chunk at the spot where the inner belt overlaps itself. Rubber tires chunking! Thats not good.
The funny thing is that I have never used a tire that was factory belted. And I actually stopped belting my own tires years ago. Just didn't seem neccesary with the traction I was getting with the Losi lowprofile Yellows. Maybe I will try some belted tires next.

MikeR: what here in Kansas? There is no average temps!
During the summer though, it can get really hot. Easily 100 on race day. We usually shorten the race day during those days for safety's sake. On a more resonable race day, the temps can hover around 92-95. That would leave the track very, very hot. I have seen a lot of people blistering all brands of tires when the temps are that hot.
The Losi A-7702Y's never did of course, and provided excellent traction. The H13's also held up well and performed well in the high heat.
In some of our more recent races in the cool weather, 60-65 degrees, the tires that worked great for me have been the Takeoffs tires that came with the C4.1 in the kit. I still don't know for sure what compound they are. But they work well in cool weather.

I'm anticipating the cool fall and winter weather too so i'll be stocking up on a new set of take off cs22's. Good wear, awesome cold traction, includes good medium inserts and belted for longer wear. A good tire replacement for those Corally freebies and lasts much longer (my freebies lasted 4 runs and started peeling 
)

I've run mine for atleast 10+ runs and they are showing wear, but appear to have a good little while to go. I know another racer buddy of mine"Lowrance" has been using C27's in the same cool weather as me with great success. His car is always hooked up.

Yes, 27's are a great medium weather tires and equate to about 80degree F. I know the 22's work better in the sub 75degree range. It's nice to have these choices with the finicky weather isn't it?

MikeR: yeah, even though I'm not a CART fan, I recognize the name.
For once, my tire selection is almost complete. I rarely have such a good range of tires. I think for next year I will try some belted tires for the first time in a long time. And of course I will pick up some Losi A-7702Y tires. I went through this year without a pair and hated it.

ahhh tire talk...always a good topic...
so do many guys in the U.S use the Hpi 33-35 for hot weather racing?..
it seems to have been the tire of choice for along time now here....but I am looking for something new...
I hope to get some sorex 36 for the next race meeting to test, as there is very little time until the state titles at my home track..
