is it true nosram/LRP vtec cells are IB?
if so then i aint experiencing any problems with my VTECs.
i heard quite a few people venting/exploding (literally) these IB cells...i think it would be better to gain a bit of weight to the car but yet actually have some cells to race with

i don't think whether they are matched or not has anything to do with them going pop.
if they had been charged up, used, charged up a couple of times...before the come to charge them for the last time (when they go pop) the cells are going to be fairly similar (similar as in the amount of charge left in them)

Some of the experienced technican claimed that IB Cells are using new materials to keep the weight of the cells down and also they are pushing their upper limit of these cells. This is why you have to be very careful with the temperature.

The IB3600's I have.. weighed within 2 grams of GP3300 packs... so not sure what all this weight discussion is about, unless you talking about the 3800's of which I have no clue.
The IB cells come with instructions, to NOT use fans to blow on the cells during charge, they encourage getting the cells warm for best performance. Not sure if the 'battery warmers', were released with IB's in mind or not.

LRP are just buying industrial IB and relabel them, not made for RC so the performance is poor vs GP3700 even GP3300 are much better check the LRP master results !
