Thumbs up

Mike and his team will do what they think is right for this event, they have been around long enough to know what is right and what isn't. I personally do not run the D3.5's and have had no issue on the speed side with my Speed Passion equipment(the MMM is a badass motor), if I could just learn to drive better. I will have no issue running with the D3.5's. This should not take from the event, this will be my first time going and I can't wait. I think it will be a blast.

From the snowbirds Facebook page.

In response to the recent ruling from Roar on the D3.5 17.5, we have decided to continue allowing it as an approved motor for this year's Snowbird Nationals. This motor has been raced at practically every event the past 10 months, including Roar Nationals, and we feel disallowing it this close to the race would not be fair to the average racer in the 17.5 stock classes. Participants have made their plans to attend the Snowbirds and have invested their money already for this event, all under the assumption this motor was going to be legal. We have a tremendous database of technical data to ensure all motors, and all brands, are within production ranges, and are confident we will have a great tech program in place for the 2013 Snowbirds. All other rules posted on our event page remain with this one exception. We hate this situation has arisen and hope that it does not dampen anyone's plans to attend. If anyone would like to change classes because of this, or even receive a refund, please shoot me an email. We are extremely excited to bring you the 19th annual Snowbirds and are confident this will be one of the best 'birds yet! Thanks to everyone for their continued support!

what rotor should I use with 17.5 TC?

Were you planning on going when this motor was still legal or did you just make up your mind after this all happened? Like Mike said this motor has been raced at almost every race for the last 10 months.

The 12.5 turquoise rotor works pretty well in 17.5 TC, its the 12.5mm high torque.

Hello racers. We are just two weeks away! Can you believe it? Had an awesome meeting at the hotel last week and our room block is ahead of last year. The trend the past 10 years has racers signing up later and later for big events, but the room total shows we are going to have a very large turnout! The Worldgate opened up some more rooms for our block so you can still get in. The in room TV race channel worked flawless on our test and they a have a nice table and chair in the rooms already if you want to work from your room for the week. The hotel will also rent a table for your room for 10 bucks if you need one too. Check out our Facebook page as I update daily new news and race stuff. Can't wait for the 19th annual Snowbirds!

Fran and I are very excited about our third Snowbirds trip. The UK has a good covering of snow so looking forward to the Florida weather too.

My racing kit is packed already. Got it down pat after a few IIC and Snowbirds trips.

Five working days to go!
