Best tire for low bite asphalt?
I am coming from off road to on road and am going to be running a TC6.1. I am looking for the best tire for low bite smooth, dusty, asphalt. I am in San diego so our weather will dip into the low 60 degrees but average is around 70 this time of year and mid 80's in the summer.

Try Sweep pre-mounts, Include:
EXP36-EVO Tires
EXP-WAY Yellow Nylon Dish Wheels
EXP-S Thin Pink Inserts. Clean w/ motor spray between runs and use WD40 for sauce min. 15m, hold car for small burn out to warm tires and run off excess sauce. These tires always work for me at CVRC, now Heritage Park Raceway.

Onroad tires
Dusty track for onroad? That sucks. Is the track prepared for racing at all? Most onroad tracks are blown off and maybe some traction soda added. If the track is dusty/dirty racing slicks are going to suck. 36 tires are for hot days, not 60 or 70 degrees.

The one with best grip is sorex. But it wear out too fast. You can get most grip in the beginning, then keep going down quickly.
If your budget allow, run a new set for each race meet to keep top performance.
Otherwise, I recommend you try team powers tyres. You need to break in for 1 or 2 batteries runs.
Then it will perform very well and keep grip level for long run.
And it's cheap.

We have tracks here in Southern California where we use Sorex tires in cool weather. In fact, at the last HPI Challenge series race, many racers opted for Sorex 36 tires in 60-70 degree weather. In fact, the 36 tires even work at night at Cal Raceway.
Which tire works where and when is not only temperature dependent, but track dependent. That said, if the surface is dusty, you may struggle a bit for grip and want to opt for a lower temperature rated tire like a 28 or 32.
If the slicks don't work out, X-Patterns might.
Good luck
