what adjustment do I need to make to get more forward bite. med traction carpet
Right now, I try to roll on the throttle but I can hear the tires spinning. Cars I'm racing against seem to launch off the corner so much better than mine.

If you have a shorty pack try moving it froward. A buggy ride high (start 1mm tail higer than front) will be the best way to increment front grip.

Watch your droop! I keep it 1 front 1.5 rear (the car bites like a shark! )

How is everyone mounting there steering servo?
Standing up like the kit says, or laying flat, with the servo saver on top, looking down at it?.Picture would be great.

I had the same question and read all over this thread and others. To me it seems most went with a low profile servo and mounted as attached. I'm a noob to F1, so I went my what seems to work for others. I'm In the finishing steps of completing my build and can't say how it works for me just yet.

A low profile setup is ideal because there is no bump steer with the links being straight, instead of at a steep angle going up. Try to put the steering links as parallel to the lower arms as possible as a starting point.

HELP!!!!!!!. Never done F1. raced TC and have Tamiya 417. Obviously I like the best stuff etc. Any recommendations what to get? 104v2 kit? what extras etc. Thanks guys.

Calm down I was in your position about a year ago. I went for the F104v2 and didn't regret it. Is it for fun or do you want to race it? For 180mm width it is a good car. For 190mm you would need to make a small conversation. For 200mm you should go for the F104w. For needed hot ups you should check the Tamiya America website. I for myself upgraded my F104v2pro with everything except for the aluminum servo mount.

You should check 3racing FGX or F113 or the TRG-line of F1 cars also. Like touring car most F1 cars have a similar speed level. A speed difference makes the width and a dampened front axle (F113).
