I thought the newer slower TC class was 21.5tc, when did it become 25.5 tc?

The new 21.5 roar legal motors are almost as fast as the old 17.5t Novak ballistic motors with a 12.5mm rotor, if not faster... No newbie will be able to properly handle that...It is very hard to tell which tc has a 21.5t vs 17.5t nowadays...Only the roar legal 25.5t motors are obviously way slower than 17.5t....

Just let people Run what classes they want in different areas . If I go to some other part of the world I will adapt to what they run there.
I prefer VTA, USGT but if others run TC21.5 or 25.5 its not that important. Hell I cannot stand 1/12 scale hated it 25 years ago , hate it Now.( but like 1/10) If people want to run it let them . Ill even marshall them to the best of my ability if it my turn.

I have ancient 13.5 motors that are slower then my current 25.5. It really is just good as a paperweight now

So after 7 years it’s time to upgrade the Novak 25.5 motor. What does everyone recommend for USVtA and maybe F1

I don't have track times or anything, but my 540-M3 25.5 Roar spec hasn't let me down. Little bugger is a screamer out of the box and price was in my range.

I would be surprised if they aren't from HPI. Hopefully they got all of them and slowly building up!

Would be nice if the pricing was less than $52.90 per and that is from their American site.

BONUS: This is my reason I like/miss VTA class. Just less wrenching, more racing.
Once setup I take the VTA car out throw it down have a blast racing and then the only thing I need to do next time is charge the battery and sauce the tires and I ready to go. Either next race or next year.

That said VTA is pretty dead near me, all the VTA guys have gone USGT 21.5.

I liked that is was slow and there wasn't some big need to win VTA on a national level. It kept the super fast guys out of the class. But maybe that is why it is dead here.

here is my bonus....

1.ITS NOT ROAR. #ThanksROAR
2.Its all about the bodies.
3.It's all about having fun and put a whipen on MYRON!
4. Spec tires that last a while.
5. Have a 25.5 TC chassis, and just swap body/tires, and voila, VTA! Cooler looking than boring Touring Car body, but just as fast.
6. Rob King and Myron
7.TC3 TC4 TC5 can compete with todays newer cars.
8. No motor wars
9. rules are stable and dont change as often as other classes
10. VTA is for newer people or people who cant handle the speed of 17.5 rockets we have now.

My Bonus...USVTA list for the US Indoor Champs...37 USVTA Cars at $70 or even $80 an entry...hummm... looks like there is some life in her after all. Now mind you most of these guys just run to beat me, or at least try. But enjoy....so whats on the menu at the Birds?

and since I know its coming, yes we had more at the Southern Nationals, a total of 62 VTA cars combined....but still shows USVTA has life...and still able to draw in good entries...imo

the rules work, the racing is fun, and anybody can run it

Have to say on-road racing is almost dead around here. the only people keeping it alive in the winter is 360v2.

360v2 is an 1.5 hours from my house and cost about 20 dollars in tolls just to get there. everything else is 3+hours away.

there are 3 dirt tracks within an hour. I am looking at used dirt cars now.
