Transponder not counting?

I have been running this transponder for a few years. Under power in the sweeper it misses every other lap? I changed out the transponder, servo, rec, speedo and booster. Everything but the motor. It only counts about everyother?
Transponder is mounted in the front of my 1/12 scale.

Im running a booster and tried to power the transponder direct to a small lipo rec pack and it still missed laps?
Any idea's ...im at a loss?
Thanks
Brian

Are you the only one having this issue? You even tried a different transponder and still does it? Sounds like the scoring system maybe at fault. Are they running a newer version of scoring? Your transponder may be too old for the newer stuff.

Yes my transponders are at least 5 years old. I was the only one having issues. Not sure how new the system is? I have never had this issue...

Check for frayed wires and look at the plug that goes into the receiver. Does the light stay on solid or flicker? I take it your running one cell? Make sure you have enough battery voltage. Don't know what else could be happening!

How high above the track is the transponder? Or, if the track has a scoring bridge, what's the separation between the transponder and the timing loop?

Sounds like a weak connection or frayed wire somewhere if it does it with a dedicated battery as well.

Just send it back to AMB for service. Just send mine back few months ago and their customer service is really good.

no frayed wires. I tried two different transponders and it did the same thing? In the main I ran a rec pack direct to the transponder and it missed almost every other lap?
Could the motor cause and issue? Both of these transponders have never failed before?
Thanks

Why don't you have another guy try out your transponder on track? Let them mount it on their car and see if the problem persists.

Is it counting every other lap? It's possible that you running below the tracks minimum lap time.
