I'm using a center diff, so that's how I got the 44T to work. I also have a 40T that I can fit, which will allow me to run a 26T for pinion.

I'm using the savox servo, high speed.

Thanks! What's that Savox number.....just wonderin, cause I just bought a Savox SC1232 SG high torque servo and the body is too deep and sticks up at least 1/8" from the servo tray.
So for anyone's information ...do not buy this particular servo....does not fit this DM-1 Spec E car. Thanks,Huck

Can someone measure the hub diameter (in thousandths .000..)where the bore of the spur gear goes onto the gear holder on the DM-1 Spec e. Trying to figure out what's easier to machine, the bore of the spurs to make them larger or to machine the threaded portion of the gear holder?......I am guessing the bore of the smaller spurs gears(44,45,46,). I need a size(O.D.) where the bore of the spur gear mounts and is fastened with the large nut. Thanks,Huck

Just looking to see how many people are running an external BEC to run their high torque servo?. I am told I will need one to run my Savox SC-1256TG servo. Is the external BEC mandatory with this servo,as I read it draws 5.0 amps and my Castle ESC only puts out 5.5 volts, not sure of how many amps it puts out or can I get away with using possibly a lower torque/speed servo that doesn't draw so much juice, that way not needing the external BEC at all! I only use the car (Ofna DM-1 Spec E) for speed runs. Please recommend which powered servo if that's the case. Thanks,Huck

I would definitely run an external BEC with a Castle esc. The BECs on their ESCs are notoriously weak.

Hello All:

I just recently purchase the DM1E and very happy with the car. The only thing I am not too thrill is the Mclaren Body that came with the car. I personally think the Body looks very cartoonish and want to replace the body.

I have 2 body in my mind that I would like to get but need to know whether it will fit on the DM1E. I have an eye on the HPI Toyota GT1 body, and Kyosho Aston Martin Body that I really like. They looks very good and would like to know whether it will fit on the DM1E? Please advise whether there will need any major modification?

Thanks very much in advance!

I have the same car and I agree, the body does look a little "toyish" and "cheap",at least with all the factory decals and such! The wing is kinda cheap looking too! That Toyota body looks very cool!
What are you running for power? What servo? Thanks,Huck

I am running MMM 2650KV.

As for the servo, I am using Traxxas Servo which is the same one that is on my 4x4 Slash. I feel it is adequate enough.
