Bushings vs Bearings

Bushings vs Bearings
Hey guys.. I was rebuilding my diffs and wanted to know if it's okay to replace the gold 3/16x5/16 bushings in the diff with bearings? Will it make a big difference or is there a reason I shouldn't .... Don't even know where to get the bearings from but was just wondering?

Yes, you can replace bushings with bearings in the diff. Will you notice any performance difference at the track with bearings...probably not. But the diff should be a little smoother and a little lighter with bearings.
Also, bushings wear out and they might not fit as precise after a while, where bearings in a diff will last forever.

If your talking about the tc3 composit diffs NO stay with the bushings. unless you can find bearings the same width as the bushings.

Just remember, if this is an Associated car, the bushings/bearings for the steel outdrives are a different size than those used for the plastic outdrives!
