Plus, what carbon shock towers have you been putting on the car instead of the ali' items??

Sorry to ask, but have never raced a TC before!

Thanks in advance,

Chris.
Any comments on the weight of this car, race ready that is?

As of now on the Corally website it says that V2 is scheduled for July. Bummer!
First they said April. Then for a while on their website it said May. Now it is July.
Not a good thing at all!

Is it really that light?

Please look at this link and scroll down.

1,300gr race ready?! That's one light car.

Weight of the LiPo used, about 300gr? Not an issue?
Light weight body used or not? Is it an issue or not with this car? It lowers the weight but that might not be necessary with this car?
Another argument might be that with a light weight body there is less weight placed up high in the car. Better for roll center and center of gravity.
Wiring? As short as possible and/or thinner wires?

So if this weight (1,300gr) is for real all you guys have to add weight here and there?

Anyone any experience with shorty LiPo in this car?

Any comments on the use of the belt tensioner on this car?
I never used it on the RDX. It's extra friction that one doesn't need.

Straight out of the box the car is very low weight. But I think that 1300 gramms is with an normal weight body.
Corally has 2 25gramm weights to put in the middle of the chassisplate to get it on the weight that you need.
Belt tensioner is not needed in the beginning, but it comes with the car.
No experience with the shorter lipo's but why lighter lipo's when the weight is already that low...

I´ve done some testing outdoors and the car feels safe and fast, just trying to get a little more steering out of it. The car is box stock but with a rear gear diff.
I haven´t tried the new shock towers yet, they´re allowing a little bit more inclined shocks.

What country are you from then?
You could always contact Corally to see what's possible?
Good to see interest in the car :-)

few question before i pull the trigger

1. Can i use 09 shock towers or do they have to be 07?

2. The tamiya ta05 gear diffs will drop right in?

3. What F/R arms do i use in case i break one?

4. When running the ta05 gear diff F/R do i need to change belts if what brand?

Hi!
You can use the 09 and 07 shocktowers. But with the 09 shocktowers you need to put some lexan from your trash of cutting your body so that you can run with amti rollbars. But you can also use the new alu shocktowers because those are good too.
I don't have experience with the ta05 geardiff but I heard that it fits right. Holmenkollen from the forum here in the hmx topic. You can send him a pm. I heard that you then need an xray rear belt. Front also need an other belt.
The suspension arms just use the out of the box ones. They work fine :-)
