Looks like a lot of guys were using the Alpha body instead of the Mazda 6? Was the Protoform Alpha the popluar choice or was it the Parma or Losi Alpha?

It seems to me the Parma alpha was the body of choice. There were some proto alphas, but very few Mazdas.

one thing about Smyka he has won 3 major races with 3 different cars

2003 snowbirds tq and win with a crc six pack
2004 tq and win with trinity reflex12
2004 cleveland with crc t-force

that to me says it all this guys can set up a car and drive the wheels off it.

I know the parma speed 8 was the body of choice for 12th scale. saw a few protoform drivers using them in the heats

Dude was so fast that he was able to turn in off the sweeper 15 feet early (ok, so it was 1.5 feet), park it nose first into the board, get marshalled, and still have a half straightaway lead.

I have round 4 lap times up... still working on pictures I have like 60 to post and then on to the main lap times and video.
