I would say the CE TD45 would be your best bet if you can find one, then the robi and CE come in tied for second, with the fantom in last.

Someone is selling a CE turbodyno 30 locally? Since everyone in the local track is using Fantom Dyno, I need more info about the turbodyno 30. Does it need a computer to work? Does it take power from 12V power supply? What are the new features of the turbodyno 45?
Could anyone post the official web site of Robitronics dyno please? |
The Robitronics is not discontinued, having used both I would place it obove the CS one for sure. (More consistent)

I have a CS and I'm very happy with it.... Unlike the Robitronics you can use it without a computer also....

The CE TD - 30 or 45 does not need a PC to run. It uses a 12V Power supply and depending what you are testing will determine your size of Power Supply needed. The TD 30 they Rec. a 30A and the 45 they rec. a 45A. I have a CE TD 45 and use a 45A Power supply. I would recommend this Dyno to anyone as it puts a load on the motor you are testing therefor you are getting close results to the track - track is still the best Dyno! |
You can use the Robi without a computer, please get your facts straight before posting.
The CS will always be off a few watts with every run due to it being power by normal battery packs. This can also be seen as a plus but for me it is just a pain in the behind. On the Robi every run is identical to the run before if the motor doesn't change. The price on the CS is a lot better than the Robi though. It's hard to justify 2 times the amount of money for the Robi when both do nearly the same things. |
Does CE still make TurboDyno 45, or is it discontinued?
|
What is this CS dyno that u are talking about? I only know CE turbodyno, Fantom and Robitronics.
What is the latest model of the Robitronics dyno? |
As far as I know they stopped making them. I got 2 that I use and love them! I couldnt pass up the deal I got for buying 2 from a guy... They do still do the slave motors though and continue to Service them.

If running the CS of the battery packs you use is a problem you can always run the motor off a 6 volt battery.....
Want the best dyno??? Get an Eagletree data recorder.... Then you can test everything right in your car..... |
I was told from a reliable source that CE is considering releasing a dyno again.I have one and love it

Good luck finding a Turbodyno....have not seen one in a while up for sale.....and if one does pop up, good luck out bidding me!
The Robitronic is still made, and can be used without a computer. I have it, a turbodyno, fantom, and CS.....the CS in my opinion sucks.....never do you get very consistent results.... I think someone who has two TD45 dynos should sell me one!!! Later EddieO |
