Default M8 reliability question

Has anyone had an M8 transmitter simply die on them?

I have the backlight version and today, it simply would not work...right before a race no less. No light...nothing.

But it worked the night before when I was preparing all my equipment. I even bought new transmitter batteries, but that did not solve the problem. Hmmm? ANy ideas? Kinda bumed me out cuz I drove to a race only to drive back an hour later.

I have had this happen to me, what prolly happened was, your batery tray inside the transmitter got bumped and came partially disconnected and had a power loss, give the radio a jiggle and it should work fine

had the M-8 for over a year and I had to send it into Airtronics three times and it had the problem you discribed and it cost me $40 to get it fixed and $12.00 shipping. I Gave it everything I got and I use to love it....Now I use the Helios and I have never looked back. I have had it for a while now and I would recommend it. Another thing.....Those transmitted bags are worth their weight in gold.....They are very important. I would probably not have had as much trouble with my M-8 if I would have had one...
You my two pennies.

true that, except for the helios for me, I bought a transmitter bag before I even had my radio, that are awesome a keep your radio in top condition for resale, I also never tookk the protective cover on the screen off, don't want any scratches when I sell it to someone else, if I ever do
