TA05v2 Rear Drive Belt twisting
Guys, I've got a stock setup on my TA05 v2. Running 70T spur, 23T pinion with a Dynamite Fuze 5800 system.
Last 3 times, my run time has been shortened by the rear drive belt twisting over.
I've tried rebuilding tip from a previous TA05 v2 post but the rear belt still twist over.

Is picking up another set of belts my only option? I'm assuming the Tamiya TA05 Ver.II Low Friction Drive Belt 342mm 54170 is the better option - correct?
What other options are there?

I would love to know what the answer to this one is as I have had it happen to me too. When this happened on the TA-05 ver.II R I also noticed severe ware on the 18t drive pulley driving the rear differential. I replaced the pulley and tightened up the belt in the rear on notch and so far so good.
I have both a TA-05 ver.II and a TA-05 ver.II R and I noticed VERY different belt tensions when the two kits were assembled. TA-05 ver.II was really tight and a TA-05 ver.II R was really loose and in both the front belts were looser than the rear if assembled as per the instructions.
When in doubt have one of the fast guys at the track take a look at it.

The belt should be very loose, e.g. no tension

Strange, the first ta05 never had this issue, im still using the original belts.
Logically thinking, all i can suggest is that any shimming is exactly how the instructions suggest and check for any teeth damage on the belt.
Also make sure there is no debris in the teeth of the pulley also.

I've had it happen on the original TA05 usually the belt twists and you don't realize immediately so it ends up chewing out a pulley at the same time.
I found it was having the belt too loose. You should be able to push the belt down half an inch with minimal force, no more.

It's currently setup very loose.
At first I suspected a small rock went in between the belt and the pulley. 2nd time it happened - can't be a coincidence. Rebuilt the rear. 3rd time - I've got a problem.
Before I pick up a new pulley, I will try tightening up approx 20% and see what happens.
