I used to race Hitec Servos (HS-225 and HS81MG) in my 12th cars. They work well, but you cant compare them to good 12th servos (like Futaba,...) But maybe you have drill new holes in the chassis plate.

I looked into that prior to dis-assembly as well.
The front portion of the case with the vertical mount is the only replaceable part, unless you want to send it to Futaba to have the center section replaced.

Not sure it is even worth it to send it to Futaba

Interesting. A friend of mine just got a new case for one of his. Fortunately it's just the top part he needs. I'll have to call him up and let him know not to mess with the rest of it.
