Ok...I'm going to retire my ole' Air. 3Ps.
I'm in the market know for a synthesized radio. I'm looking at the Airtronics MX-3S, JR XS3 or Pro, & Hitec CRX w/spectra.

Can anybody post their experiences with either 3? Pros and cons for each/

I've thought about that too. Though I'm kinda hestitant on buying any "used" radio. Anybody ever have issues with an M8? Seems to be the choice of everyone.

Ive owned an M8 for 3 years. I love the radio, does everything you could ask for, and for me it has great balance when holding it. I say goto your local track and hold different radios and find out which one feels the best as most of the top end radios have almost all the same features.

I have a M8 and love it it has been threw alot and still is up and running, The only problam i would have is if i put the radio down to hard it will beep, i think the connection isnt that good or something.

I've had a JR XS3 for a while now. It has all the top model features, and you can find a new one on ebay for 120-200. People sell them from their Losi LST kits. The xs3 pro is an extra $50 for a little bling, nothing special.

Actually, for the extra cash you get 10 model memory (versus 6), the momo wheel (it adds some bling), a smaller receiver, and the grip pad. I have a regular and a Pro and they both work great.

Dont forget to do the grip test ! A radio can have all the bells and whistels and features and gadgets... but if you're not comfortable with the grip... it doesnt really matter.

Grip test is probably the most important in my opinion. All the synthesized radios pretty much have high end features so that is not a issue. I have an M8 but my wife's JR XS3 feels more comfortable to me. When the Spektrum system comes out though module based radios will be the way to go.

I like the bling factor on that JR XS3 Pro. So I've narrowed it to a M8 and the JR radio. I'd save money on the JR...
Where as the M8 it would cost me more.

The M8 is a SNUG fit if you have big hands. The JR felt comfortable to me, and I've had to put a good deal of tape on my Futaba

Have you ruled out the Futaba 3PM ?? The synth version is just being released and it has a couple of feature's the XS3 and the MX3 don't. The one that I've enjoyed using is servo response speed. I'm not one for a lot of goodies but this function was on my Multiplex and I learned to love it. Otherwise....for more cash you could get a new M8. Yes...it's that good.

Snybody know about warranties? I read that JR has a 3 yr warranty...

I have sent a Jr rs300 to horizon for repair "just a case". They wouldn't just sent me a case. Which I thought I can replace myself. But the repair as fast and they only charged for case which as 5.95
