I shouldn't tell you this, I am thinking of possibly bidding on it myself.
Search VTA in toys and hobbies. Item # 170989148602. Seller speed-rc Its looks very clean, No scrapes on the bottom, Either a carpet car or has seen very little use. It's at $147.50 and has 3 days to go. It could double in the last few minutes. I can't tell you about the other Assoc. car I'm watching, If I win it I'll let you know!!!!!
YOU OWE ME MAN !!!!!

The TC4 is still a readily available touring car selling as a roller with parts in good supply at most indoor on-road tracks. This is 1 reason why I was thinking about converting over a lot of the TC4 parts to my TC3 but there would be a bit of fabrication needed so I'm still on the fence. The most simple thing would be to drill a hole for a set screw in TC4 caster blocks but we will see.
This guy has been trying to sell a Novak 25.5 SS system. He's down to $85 for motor and ESC. - http://www.rctech.net/forum/r-c-item...-ss-combo.html

EDIT: On parts many TC4 and Losi parts fit the TC3 and many are still available. eBay is a great source and you could try http://sabulatech.com/storefront/ as well. That thing that Eric has cooking looks to be a kick butt car, but parts aren't going to be any easier for a Pro 4 than they are for a TC3.

Not sure what class you ran with the TC3 in the past, but dont go nuts stocking up on parts, VTA on 25.5 is slow and the huge vta bodies do a great job protecting the car.
And yes, TC3 parts are still available, only parts hard to get are 4* castor blocks and chassis. You can also get parts direct from AE HERE

Just picked up a TC4 club racer and everything for a VTA setup except battery and charger. My last car before this was a Kyosho Ultima back in '87, guess I'm about to find out how much R/C has changed in the last 25+ years that I've been out of it. This thread has been a wealth of information, I'm going to get it on the track and see what breaks before buying anything new. Anyone find a replacement for the now discontinued Parma bumper yet? Painted my first R/C body this week in over 2 decades, don't want to destroy it in one race day now

I use the NTC3 bumper, great fit for the VTA bodies.

Thanks Rojna for the help. The only way my plans change from not using the TC3 is the 1 deal I have for a ARTR TC5 pans out otherwise it's build up the TC3.

What caster blocks come standard with the kit? What gives you more steering?
Thanks, Brian

That was my experience in the past.

The kit comes with 0* the higher degree the more steering you get. When I last used my TC3 I ran 2* castor blocks which are still on it, 4 and 6 degree castor blocks were usually too much for me on indoor carpet tracks but were great on anything else not carpet.
That was my experience in the past.

Anyone care to explain a good process for setting ride height and droop with a minimum of special tools.
