Great, I'll be there, just look for the blue Camaro and you'll find me.

Am currently experimenting with motors, tires & ratios to try and form a GT class at a club level using either a 17.5 or 13.5 motor.

One of our club members also used to use a Tamiya R34 Skyline in 21.5 and done very well with it too, although that was a few years ago.

If you're wanting a east coast body with similar handling characteristics to the Protoform LTC, ask for the Mazda 6-09. It has better steering capabilities than the others.

Cheers
Rob.

Im not sure if this is the best body, but Ive liked the Petronas paint scheme ever since I saw someone running the body at my local track. Handling was always my main concern as Tamiya bodies are pretty heavy, especially if 80% of the body is is covered in stickers and it costs more than TC bodies (Probably due to licensing). But recently the GT fad is growing at my local RC scene and almost everyone is favoring the GT/realistic bodies rather than traditional TC bodies. LHS are claiming the GT bodies handle better than TC bodies which I find hard to believe, but track times do not lie.

Anyways, I caved and bought the Lexus Petronas body. After spending HOURS applying the stickers, Im very pleased with the results

For non boost class in TITC 2016, 17.5T, we weren't allowed to use any protoform bodies, thus, over 90% of the racers used the Tamiya NSX (2007 model I think) lightweight body.

We used the special tamiya rear wings.

Compared to an LTCR, it's understeer but good enough. Check the video below, that's the last main.

My new favorite Tamiya body, R390 GT. The flat sleek body is very fast around the track and it handles very well. Its less bulky than the RCF I had before and my lap times improved dramatically.
