we run heavier bars at the front

On another note what class are you running......what oil in the diff what tires..we use ride/muchmore/sorex....and panaracers
I run 17.5T stock class and 21.5 VTA. For nitro, usual .12 turbo.
2000 rear diff, 32 sorex all around in my eryx. I used to use 1000-1200 diff but I was not happy loosing too much speed and pushing out of corner so I up'ed the diff to 2000. Now the car's happier.
I will certainly take up your suggestion to the track Thank you Jam

Default composite gears in original diff?

Am I able to upgrade my original s411 gear diff internals with the composite gear set / posts that serpent includes with the eryx?

No the housings are different. It's cheaper to buy the whole new gear diff than the parts anyway..

I have seen a couple of the composite gears strip though. There's something to be said for the metal internals.

How vital is it that I shorten the wires from electronics? I just bought this crimper and some futaba connectors wishing that I could lower the chassis weight. Maybe I could take 20g off? I weighed the car and it was only 975g with all electronics on w/o battery. So w/ battery, it would be 1270g approximately. Isn't the minimum weight requirement in ROAR 1350g or so? With body on, it may be a bit more but I doubt that it will exceed 1350g.
And when I measured the weight from the electronics, it was less than 300g but the electronics side always tilts down when I check the balance than the battery side. My battery is 310g including wires. It must have something to do with position of battery but my question is "Do I need to shorten the wires when the car is not even 1300g and the electronics side is heavier than battery side?"
2nd question is:
My buddy was telling me that the bullet connectors I use between motor and ESC create electrical resistance and that can be why my car is slower than his with same motor and same gear ratio. And he uses thicker wires than mine. But his car on the straight away is killing mine like no problem. So I understand there can be some resistance. But does it make that big of a difference? I personally think he made some modification in his motor with bigger stator but I can be wrong.

The weight of extra servo wire length is negligible. Most people just shorten them to keep the wiring tidy.

My cars are heavy on the battery side, and come in right around 1380g (ROAR limit) with a LW body and some titanium hardware. Sounds like your battery is probably a bit lighter than mine. Get it totally race-ready and see where it comes in on weight.

The motor connectors will add resistance, but it's not likely to be noticeable unless they are really crappy connectors in which case they would probably just melt.

I see. With everything mounted, the car is 1380g for me as well.
Regarding connectors, that's what I thought too. I really think he put 13mm stator in but who knows? Thank you for your help Steve.

I believe the parts would fit fine, BUT you should not do this. The Eryx towers are lower and the TE shocks are of normal length, so your shock travel would be reduced. Not sure how much though because I don't have the parts but it would quite a bit I would think.

I asked one of the factory team drivers the same question last week at TITC. He said to expect lots of new stuff for the car this year. To me it sounds like we will be getting some new bits for the existing ERYX and not a completely new platform. He did show me a prototype aluminium chassis like the XRAY one Hagberg had at the last ETS round.
