Whoo hoo! I can not wait. I had a little accident with the one that I have--I keep forgetting to change the model selection on my radio .

Glad to hear these will be here soon--I hope others will take order on them. I really do wish the Superten would make a come back. Truly surprising they did not become more popular. I love mine but wish I could get it to turn a little sharper--any ideas anyone?

I would love to see the Super RS4 come back with a brushless setup. I e-mailed HPI expressing that. We'll see what happens....

There was a petition started earlier on in this thread but not too many people jumped on board. I have a Novak GTB 3.5R setup in mine and the the is just plain fast with a 2S LiPo. Very smooth and fun to drive--people can not believe it when they see it. The thing can easily do +65mph.

Here the Super RS4 was very popular. There was a special class at the HPI Challenge series were the car was run nearly at kit specs. Not very much option parts allowed and running a 17T spec motor this class was pretty cheap.
But HPI opted not making the Super RS4 kits anymore so the class at the HPI Challenge series also was canceled later.

Beside the spec Super RS4 I have another car for modified racing. Actually the car isn´t very different beside some better shocks but using a oneway is a difference night and day. The soft chassis and twin diff setup makes the car understeer a lot. Regarding the chassis some guys tried different graphite chassis but this isn´t any faster in reality. The oneway was the biggest difference regarding turn in also forward traction is a lot better. The problem just is finding a oneway nowadays.

The parts for this car are hard to find and is becoming almost difficult. Below are 2 links that will help you determine what options are (or were) available:

http://www.hpiracing.com/kits/super_rs4/options.htm

http://www.hpieurope.com/options.php?lang=en&partNo=924

Another trick that I use is search on eBay under "HPI Super" and see what pops up. There are some body posts up there now but they are not purple but oh well. The front one-way you are looking for is HPI A959. These can be found but be prepared to $pend a bit!!!

I think Ebay is the only place now finding parts for the Super RS4. A good idea is searching on foreign Ebay also I think I had my oneway from Australia.

Regarding handling an option is moving the battery to the forward postion. After moving from rear position to the front I never went back, but this was running the long wheelbase.

Ahh! This makes perfect sense--should balance out the car front to rear. The car will turn fairly sharp at low speeds so it must push pretty bad at higher speeds. I now use the ABS function on my Tx but that merely applies brakes while turning but am not sure if it affects turning radius.

What he is talking about is that on the stock chassis there are additional mounting holes that allow you to move to battery a little more forward, about 1.5," than what the assembly instructions have you do.

If there is anything else let me know . . . I can provide any measurement you might require (using a CMM if need be!).

Default New Hop up found!

Wow! So I received this in the mail today. I got it off ePay and is from GPM and was shipped from HK. This is the first new hop up I have seen for this car in the 2-years I have owned this car. Others come and go but have not seen this one. Also, I have an original GPM parts lists for the Super RS4 and this was not on there! I am not sure if it was manufactured recently or had just been around and went up for sale. There were 2 for sale and now believe they are gone .
