hello,

just my 2 cents,

i run a T2R Pro, and its amazing so far, the only mods i have are spring steel shafts, turnbuckles and the 38T pully conversion. i run it with T3s all the time and so far, the T2R hold the fastest lap time on the track and also the fastest 5 minutes run (AMB system)

i dont see anything wrong with the R cars, i run a 4.5T motor and the composite diff holds the power just fine. i bought the R used from here and was gonna run it untill our local xray dealer gets the T3 kits, when i ran the T2R, i didnt purchase the T3

a friend is running the T3R, he shares the same set-up as many T3s on the track (Thanks Paul Lemieux) and you wouldnt notice the difference in performance between them

cheers

ALi

So, I'm trying to decide between the T3R and the regular T3 for the upcoming season. For the price of a T3R, a gear diff, and non-XRAY ESC shafts it still comes under the $500 for a T3. Would it be wiser to just start with a T3R and throw some upgrades at it, or would the "necessary" items end up costing more than just getting a T3?

I drive with a T3. But I bought a T3R for my son 3 weeks ago and I have to say I was really impressed. It's easy to build (same as T3) and out of the box with the standard setup it drives and preforms much better than a T3. So if you don't want the hassle for searching after a good setup or don't have the knowledge its a awesome car. Only problem I had whit it was that the servosaver popt out after contact with the circuit. Ive put a body post after it and the problem was solved

Do the shock towers from the T2'008/9 fit the T3/T3R? How about the upper decks too?

Looks like Paul Lemieux gave Marc Rheinhard a run for his money in what I assume to be the new T3R in the IIRC in Las Vegas...

These look like killer cars and am considering one but I'm having a hard time swallowing the prices of parts. $20 for 4 springs?
$62 for a ball diff?
