There are some 'mods' you can do to the front shocks in order to get them to lower the car more. I don't know the technical term for each part, but maybe someone else can chime in and fill in the blanks. There are two things you can do:

1.) The plastic piece that the shock shafts screws into can be shortened slightly so that the spring perch will sit lower on it. I took off about 1/8" on mine and the shaft could still screw in with plenty of turns on it.

2.) On the shock collar, when it is all the way up on the shock body, hits the screws that hold the shock to the tower. The collar has tapered plastic on the upper and lower part and that is the part that is hitting. You can trim the upper plastic portion of the shock collar so that now you can raise the shock collar another couple of mm.

With both of these mods done to the front shocks, I was easily able to get down to 5 mm and below.

Anybody ever try a oneway on carpet with rubber tires? I'm thinking about trying this with cs27's. Todge and Lemeiux's setups on the Losi site use one. Wanted to know others experience with either setups or the oneway.

A one way is typically faster but is harder to drive at times since you can not easily use breaks without spining out.

For running stock sedan with rubber on carpet a front one-way is very desirable. I run one on mine and my lap times dropped as a result. Just don't use brakes otherwise you risk spinning out.

It is a heavy car, you would have to Dremel out major parts of the chassis, to get it to be as light as the carbon fibre cars. It might help to pull the rear bumper and tape the batteries in place.
