I think the F comes with a diff an d the R has a spool. Also the out of the box set ups are for their intended purposes. R has springs for rubber tire racing the F has stiffer springs, etc.

The F also has the "Hard" plastic parts for arms, steering blocks, and camberblocks.

Although, I like to use them on my rubber setup as well.

R comes with enough parts to build a front diff or slipper spool.

To convert the F diff to slipper spool all you'd need to get would be the slipper pads. Just take out the diff balls and put the pads on the outdrives instead of the diff rings and you're good to go.

If you were to get the F cheap and you want to go R take a look at the Exotek chassis and upper deck rather than buying stock ITF parts.

As was mentioned before the R comes with all soft suspension components. Essentially the same suspension parts (arms, hubs, steering arms, etc) that come with the old Factory Team version.
