I'll probably go back to the Modena body. Not sure if I really liked the NSX... and I think my Altezza had waaaay toooo much steering hehe.

So right now I've been racing my 415 on carpet. I'll bring it as a back up car. But it is no where near TCS legal right now. I'll probably be using the 415 for the club race the night before the TCS. They race foam tires for the club race right? What's the big class there? I think last time it was stock.

Catch ya there soon.
Yeah we will run foams but the night before TCS we run alot of the TCS classes. Stock is still the biggest class.

Body wise I always like the NSX and then I went to the MR2 since I'm running the short car setup on my TB-02.

Not much is compatible from one Tamiya car to another. Just the common little stull like ball studs, swaybar ends, screws, etc. Tamiya has a history of making purpose built cars from the ground up.

BTW, the discussion about running foams on the front of the car... I just cut them down with an xacto while they are spinning on my truer. Losing the 2mm I cut off does not hurt handling a bit. Lately I have been running the TRC fronts that are 26mm and they work great out of the box with the standard 1.5mm shims. I tried the other stuff and grinding the knuckles but a)there isn't much material there, and b)you start getting into some illegal widths if you are not careful.

Thats the way to do it (imitating Mr Punch of Punch & Judy)

Well with my 28mm foam setup my car fits under my 190mm Mazda6 with a little room to spare. Looks like I have about a 1mm or so on each side to spare.

I would cut my rims but I never get them exactly the same width and I don't care for that plus I won't run TRC so I will just do a tad bit of work and use the other companies 28mm foams. Not giving money to the darkside!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Glad other companies are stepping up and making great stuff so we don't always have to use the darkside to go fast.

Default New Square Part

Hey Guys,

Square have made a new official part for the Evo IV, but from what I understand, you could have used the 415 one anyway. Its STV-7 and It's a Servo Post + Transponder Mount in 1.

I have also installed new Hopups onto my Evo IV. I got the new Square Aluminium Motor Mount with the removable top for easy spur changing, as well as the Aluminium Heatsink Bar, Aluminium Front Uprights + aluminium Castor blocks, as well as other blue bits. Will get photos as soon as I can!

Sounds like your car is pretty cool. I went with the Tamiya hopups since I run TCS races with it as well as my normal everyday race car.

I just had my buddy pant my new Mazda 6 body and will post picks once I have it mounted and some pics of my car with 28mm foams.

Yeh, I have primarily Tamiya Hopup parts but where there was no alternative, I bought the 3rd party stuff. I love the clear gear covers, even if they aren't the Tamiya ones. Makes it soo much easier to work on your car, as you can SEE what's happenin in there.
