in the limited ESC classes where you allowed to crank the timing on the can?
yes Chris - you could add physical timing to the can... and I found that the motors I owned didn't do that so well at the race, so in TC Stock I ended up running a Novak motor purchased from the hobby store. thanks again to Charlie for the help w/ the motors. the roll out that you needed to run with a Duo v1 or SP v3 was just too high to safely complete the weekend with the motor temps I was seeing.

Default 17.5 SS

Was Hebert hurt by running a LRP in this class vs. the Tekins?

Really low... sub 3 FDR. It was safer with a low 3 FDR but slower. Both configs were slower than a Novak Ballistic with a ton of timing and 3.9 FDR.. and the Novak came off much cooler (150 degrees).

I noticed there was only 1 guy in 17.5 1/12 that was able to do 10.3 lap times.

What motor did he run?

For reference, I ended up with a 3.64 FDR on a Duo2 w/ 15 deg timing on the motor for sedan, qualified and finished 3rd, so I wouldn't say the Duo's were not capable of going fast in this class

Actually Volker tapped the top of the carousel/ roulette table and was on the outside, Hara had the line the whole time..

Scotty also announced that he tapped!!

Gotta give props to my girl for the good video coverage...I had to marshall at the chicane, in between the Tekin signs... man i was glad no one needed to be marshalled.
