Hey InspGadgt,

No worries on performance, its all good. The main thing is that you went out there and had a great time that's what racing all about

I'm really bad with names though and can't remember his.

Hey guys I am trying to balance my car with some scales I got. do I put the front or rear wheels on the scale. and is it ok to put the opposite end on the counter or should I prop the other end up so the car is more level. right now with the front on the counter and the rear on the scales my left side is 192 and the right side is 205 sometimes a lil closer depends on if I move the car around or not.

It was nice meeting you my name is Robert from Texas and after much trial and error I found a decent set-up for my converted copperhead. I qualified
8th in the stock B main and moved up two spots to finish 6th.

The good thing about the copperhead is that every little change I made had an immediate and substantial result on the track. Took me a couple days to get it to drive how I like it but it was satisfying to make changes and see/feel the difference.

Prop the rear end up on a stationary plate to be the same height as the scales and level. It is real important that the rear of the car is level while doing this.

I use 4 of the same scales. I would think that if only using 2 scales, you would want to at least have it level. I then will generally "bounce" the suspension (usually just tap on the roll over antenna) to settle the car and scales. If you move the car around, you can certainly affect the readings by several grams.

Another thing you can do is to take four small scales under each wheel... Then the car is leveled and you can read the weight on all four corners...

Hey Jason....with your most recent setup you posted- with Pinks all around cut at 1.70"/1.80" respectively, Speed8 HD body on a somewhat 'groove-in' layout, running 13.5/no boost with rollout at 86.5mm- any thoughts on that?

This is all on the RR w/new front end....

I personally like to run gray white rears and team purple or double pink fronts. I cut them to 1.65 front and 1.7 rear most of the time. Everything else seems good.
