han anyone tried using those high priced ceramic bearings?
since x-ray has awesome bearings is the performance diffrence noticable? is it worth the the $?

i asked the same question a little while back. they said just keep those Xray blue bearings in there awesome. And if anything i do not think there is a HUGE difference. i might be wrong.

Well, I never ran ceramics in my xray back when, but I put a set in my 415 for this years nats, and really couldn't tell a big difference

how do you properly clean the bearings?

when your slow you usually don't fell small changes like that
ceramic bearings rock at least a lap faster

lol, I haven't been racing on-road for the past 3 months, and I could take my MF2 out there and beat you...

well, as for the stock, blue seal bearings: put them in a bearing blaster and hit them with motor spray, and shake them, and put two small drops of bearing oil in them, or you can pop one of the seals off to really get the dirt out, but then the seals with never seal, or stay on like they did before you popped them off

I soak them in motor spray, then relube.

I don't think you should spend the extra $. It's really not that noticeable. They just last longer and can deal with heat alot better.

this probably has been discused, but which part of the ceramic bearing is made of ceramic? the casing? the balls? or all of it.

all that are looking. THere is a guys at our track that is selling a factory kit. I had a look at it this weekend and it is in excellent shape. Don's know his email, but go to http://www.mikeshobbyshop.com and go to hobbytalk. in the for sale section, you will find a listing for jdean. it says evo2, but is a factory kit.
