Looks like the rear shock tower has been raised by 2mm , by looking at the spacers on the outside of the top link.

I wonder if the shocks have been lengthened to accomodate the tower height?
Interestingly though, the front positions dont seem to have been modified?

Could be wrong though.

Why do people say Xray brings out new cars so often? They tend to release either an update or new cars each year before Christmas. Tamiya does the exact same, but I can't see anyone complaining about that.
late 2007: Xray T2'008, Tamiya 416
late 2008: Xray T2'009 (slightly updated version of 008), Tamiya 416WE (slightly updated 416)
late 2009: Xray T3 (new car), Tamiya 416X (updated 416)
Don't make your opinion based on the pics of the T3 shown here. It might be from an early prototype so the final version might be different.

Face it all TC's except the losi look alike now....There is not much going to change with the looks of TC's until someone decides to take a chance (Like losi did years ago) and be different which could mean success or it could mean disaster in such a competitive and tight market and economy!!!

What I do like about the T3 is the electronics are moved in more to the center, and the battery slots are elongated so you can slide the LiPo in and out to achieve balance easier. The rear arm inner mounts are more adjustable with shims, now you can add them under the mounting blocks to raise and lower inner pin hieght.

i dont think you have to have the current car to be competitive on a club racing level.

Firstly, I can not believe all the negative talk against Xray. What they do, bring out a new car each year, obviously works or they wouldn't do it. You do not have to have to buy them.... That's why they have Cyclones....
Cars reach a point in development, of course it is going to be similar to the 009, that's what it evolved from.
Secondly, the orange is catching.....
and more seriously, do you think they'll bring out a T3R or Pro later in 2010?

car looks nice but i think the 009 looks better lower top deck and all. i do like the new roll centers though. the a arms look a lot longer. i think the only cars optimized for lipo are the losi and magic cars but not many people run them. all the cars with lipo on one side and electronics on the other, how can they truely be optimized? raise the top deck move the lipo and electronics more to center and add even more weight to the lipo side to balance the car out seems pointless. i really like all the changes to the new car except for the higher top deck and fewer holes in rear tower.
