No motor limit on Pro10 mod. If we can do it every month on a track with a 200' straight and not have regular blowovers, it can be done. On the other hand, if the track is small, the cars will be too fast regardless of what mod. motor is being used.

Add a Tamiya GT1/F103 class (they're pan cars too) since Tamiya abandoned them and there are lots of them out there.

Otherwise, it's a good idea to kick around but I dunno if anything will come of it.
Ok Mark, that sounds good. If you go back like previous page, I thought of either Rev or Tamiya USA as good spots (especially if there is a F103LM class). Would SoCal be too small?

trackdesigner the best way is (only my opinion because iam oldschool)

pro10 6 cell stock
pro10 6cell open mod(no limit on winds as in japan)
pro12 6cell stock
pro12 6cell open mod(no limit)

for the newbies
pro12 4 cell stock or 19turn.
pro12 4 cell open mod.

Hey dont worry speedxl, at this point Im just kickin around ideas! I mean at the U.S. Touring Car Championships at Trackside they had 7 classes, and probably could have had more if they wanted to. I mean if I (or somebody else) decides to go with it, we could have any number of 4 and 6 cell classes. The possibilities are endless! Come on guys, keep the ideas (and banter) coming!

Yes, SoCal is too small; one night, an attempt at a 6-cell 19t class turned into a rolling demolision derby so nothing faster would be feasible.

Tamiya Track is out unless you bring lots of $$$ (i.e. like the Reedy Race) because they'd hate to have all those inexpensive non-Tamiya cars out there ripping off ballistic lap times.

Well I guess Revelation would be the best first choice if we wanted to do somethin for the pan cars. Camarillo is another possibility. Outside of Cali, Full Throttle in FL (site of the Onroad Worlds) could be a possibility, anybody else have any ideas?

Whoa, Im running that set-up now, but I haven't had time to get down to the local carpet track; let alone race against other pro10's. Sounds pretty sick I might swing by the track tomarrow for a practice session and unleash the beast on some 4wd TC's Its been so long since Ive driven a pan car...Hopefully I can apply some of the skills I developed while racing the 2wd 235mm gas cars.

Hey fellas!

Bringing back 1/10 pan would rock! Taxi's have had their day in the sun, it is time to go really fast! I live in MN and I think the nearest carpet on road track is trackside now. I ran both my 10L3t and trinity sb10 there against sedans, both mod and stock. In a word-UNTOUCHABLE! The only way taxis could compete is to shove me into the boards. TCHR would have been the perfect venue, but now it is gone Trackdesigner, would your series travel? Do you have a venue set up now, or are you looking for a place? I hope you find something, I'd travel to race in the series. I take them off the shelf every now and then, dust them off, pet them, and say"someday" Good luck!

I've heard some talk of using 23turn motors. With pan cars, you could race for 15 minutes or so! If the speeds are interesting enough, longer races sound like fun to me!

Taz, did you post the link to the Academy pro 10? It's very fast, though a little fragile.

Actually Dave I'm kickin around the idea of having something for pan cars much akin to the U.S. Touring Car Championships. Now if things are really nice the first year I may expand to regional qualifiers but we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.
