Default Which Reedy motor for F109

Hi all

My Orion Method 19t double has just seized solid and i have to order a replacement in the morning to get here due to the snow. I have narrowed the choice to the Reedy motor but can't decided whether to get the 27 or the 19. Both seem a lot better than the orion as regards the revs but i don't know hoe the power delivery is with them compared to the orion.

TBH the orion never seemed to have enough punch against the other brushed and the brushless cars pee all over it but I don't want to go brushless as i mainly rallyx and this is just a bit of fun.

The track is carpet with a straight down the back half and we do arounnd 13-15 second laps depending on layout - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R2mtVYzMRE8

So does anyone use these in F1 and what sort of gearing and rollout do you use with them

Thanks in advance

lunie

Brushless has lots more punch than Brushed, so if there is good grip then Brushless will win every time.
Have you tried Nick at Demon Products?
Think he still has a few brushed motors left

Ive been racing 10th Touring cars at a desent level now for eight years,A little while ago a friend let me have a play with his F1 (not F109)....I was bitten as it brought back fond memorys of where I started RC with Pro 10 in the late 80's.

So some research was needed, luckily I found this thread on the f109. after reading all the guys tips "and thanks to all" I just had to have one,All I can say is what a super little car it is for the for the money...so far in near kit build its the car to have at my local track...well done 3racing the F109's the best fun per $ ratio Ive raced for a long while

You guys probably haven't seen it over in the for sale forum so I thought I would post here in case anyone in the US wants a brand new ready to rock F1-09. I have decided to go brushless in my 8th buggy and need some funds for the project.

Thanks,
Matt

With the diff, do you use the top hat spacer that sits under the wheel?

Thrust bearing plates, the thrust bearing, cone washers and the "top hat" spacer should be mounted outside the wheel ... could that be your problem?
