OK, that makes sense. Thanks for the clarification Charlie. I was a little worried that this was a sign of price increases on overseas products or something...that would hurt a little!

Nah, nothing like that. ABC originally sold direct at a discount so they can get their name out there. Now, other hobby shops can sell for that "DISCOUNT" price and feel they can not compete with ABC.

Im looking forward to the new ABC GRAND PRIX SERIES starting this Sunday at Surf City!!!

Brushless Genetic Racing

I don't know if it has been covered already but is there any plan to incorporate brushless systems into racing?

yeah we've been testing some BL systems for the Genetic after the MJGTC series last year, and we're trying to push the cost down for our spec racer's f BL system. but we are still lookin for some system combination, so far no one meets our requirements

FWD conversion

Converted my Genetic to fwd to race with the minis at WCRC. Car worked well and the conversion was rather straight forward. I geared the car slower to match up better with the Tamiyas, so I was mid-pack in straight away speed but probably cornered a little better on the ABC tires. With the ABC tires being 5mm smaller than the prevalent Tamiya tires I ran a 5.6 FDR with the hand out silver can motor.

Hey akura2 we will test the goose in two weeks, about the Body I will PM you

we have just concluded our TRUSPEC race series with OC Circuit it was an awsome spec race

I'm looking forward to the next ABC mini series... my chassis is all stripped of electronics in a drawer... need to bring it back to life... I'm glad to hear we can still use the older ABC hand out motors...
