Wish I would have saw this before I sent $100 to TQ for parts and a different body set! Was looking for this one. Oh well, MP4/5b was on wish list too!

Hopefully...however history doesn't prove that out in that the F201 wasn't the top notch finished car we expect from Tamiya.

I've got a bunch left over from my F1 shop as well...mostly the cooler weather stuff from Square and Pit.

Looks like that comes with no "kit" tires.
What about tcs races that require the 104w
to run kit rubber tires?
I would assume you need to run the crappy 104w (wolf ect.) tires?

like you had any issues with tires sunday, Jim

what tires were you running on your car? i know I gave Chris Green (other 104w) a set of TRG superions i had from a while ago, and they seemed to work very well for him - almost on par with the Pit 71/72 combos the rest of us were running

Trg med. front med soft.
The superion soft rears heated up too fast and the car was a mess after 5 laps.
(but remember I was rocking the 103.)
I had some laps with a 104x with the pit tires and was very impressed.

Joe's lap times were much faster than me during practice and I think
he runs the pit's on his 104x..So in my opinion the rubber tires have leveled the field (ie.103 vs 104,109).
In the end it was not about the car in that A-main,it was about making laps
and staying out of the way.

yeah, i had the pits on my 104 and it was incredible - like a TC on foams

yes, the main was all about staying out in front - because it was safe I was thoroughly impressed with my 104 - just added the roll damper that week and the tires were put together the night before, man oh man what a car...i think the F1's were the fastest cars of the day on sunday - if they weren't mine sure felt like a 1s/boosted 13.5 12th scale

Is it worth it to put the f103 front end on the x1 ...does it make that much of a difference?

You combine the best things of both cars in one.
I am running a F104W pro and i can get it to understeer very easely if i want to.
At the moment it is a very neutrall car with the setup i have now.
So yes it is worth it.

regards Roy
