528stock with a 4.5 or 5T? Are you sure about this?
And what do you mean "anything bigger definatly go 528mod"?A 4T or 3.5T or even 3T?

We have tried it down under and it works quite nicely even though Speedpassion wont recommend it I would say 4.5-5.5 will work nicely with 528stock and 4-4.5 528Mod. 528Mod is what we are using 90% off the time now though with 4.5t motors

Even a 4T works great with 528stock. The only problem you will have is too much power...

Whats the difference between the Competition v3 1-cell motors and regular competition v3 motors? Is it more suited for pan cars or not much of a difference? And where can you get one?

Thanks

Hey guys. Need help here. I just bought the 17.5R brushless competition 3.0 and I may need a noob slap here but I thought that I wouldn't need a new ESC to use it. I have the 35amp yeah racing ESC and the connections are all different. Is it possible to just adjust the connections so they fit or am I screwed out of another $100 for a new ESC? Also the motor is sensored but the ESC has no input that I can see for the connecting sensor cable. What do I do?

Thank for the help!

Gaz.

If the ESC youre talking about is the YR Ultimate Brainpower 35A, it should work with the motor you have. The ABC wires are Black, Red, Blue respectively from your ESC if you look at this:

http://www.yeahracing.com/catalog/im...al_Page1-4.pdf

As for the sensor wire, since you have a sensorless ESC it should be able to run both sensored and sensorless motors. So just leave the sensor cable out for the Comp V3 motor you got and it should be fine.

If it runs backwards just switch any two wires around until its right.

Hope this helps.

** If you mean different connectors between ESC and the new motor, just solder /whatever to make them fit.

Thank you so much for the info. All good. I also realized that you can pull the connectors out and they have the same ones as the yeah racing behind them.

Thank again!

like i said before 528Stock firmware just work when SC is turned off
for mod.

i think you all missed the Torque on every same motor Winding is different,
and looking for it's Kv is not enough.

do select different Kt for the same motor Winding.

....

and a little triggered question, do you all know what speed passion
V3 Kt is ?

that's will change your Software and gearing behavior.

Hey guy I have a 17.5 v12 with a 2.0 LPF esc running 508 stock. Having a really hard time getting the drag brake set right. It's goes from no drag on the #7 setting to all out on the #8. Tried 1-6 and no drag on those either. What am I doing wrong???

Make sure you recalibrated the ESC to your radio after you changed software. It's possible it isn't picking up neutral properly.

Is the Reverse Strength set to 100%? If not, try setting it to 100%, and try 75% Brake Strength with 20% Drag Brake as a starting point.

1S version is lighter...materiail wise. And the motor can is laser marked...looks COOLER as well.

1S motor is instock at HK warehouse and SP website now, couple other version of 1S motor (like 3.5 and 5.5) will be 2-3 days later...

Yeah I tried that with no luck.
