I always seem to end up with,

9-8
12-9
13-1
15-1

I tried a 10.5 (5.5fdr) with

9-5
12-7
13-4
14-4
15-4

it was probably slower than a 17.5 and definatley slower than a 13.5, even tried gearing down to 7.5 still slow, so geared it back to 5.5 with

9-8
12-9
13-1
14-4
15-1

at last a pretty quick 10.5 with temps at 60deg.

sorry but so I still don't see the point in all these settings I wanted to try the No-timing software but didn't have my laptop to change the software.

Is anyone else finding this or am I doing something really wrong
try your 13.5t should be #13(3or2) not 1.
check your battery,

batteries are not very old. Why 13 #3or2 and not #1 ?

Tomorrow I'm going to try Marcos set up 5.7fdr (13.5)

4-8
9-8
12-9
13-3
14-3
15-2

If you think they dont work, the solution is simple. Set the ESC to the new ZERO timing spec mode and see how SLOW it is.

I ran 17.5 Open geared at 6.4 FDR and RCGT (17.5 Zero Timing) geared at 4.2 FDR. Both cars same track. The speed between the two cars is night and day. 14.9 second laptimes for Open, with 17.0 for Spec.

With the ESC, Motor, and Car adjustments we can now make it can become overwhelming. Change 1 thing at a time, record the result. Good or bad, you gain the knowledge of what the overall effect is.

Well, Another factor for OFFROAD racing is suspension tuning. At times there is a spur/pinion combo that keeps weight distribution of motor at a location that affords desired traction or rotation. At times, that combo doesnt want to be moved for the handling of the car. Thus, being able to adjust the ESC settings is a HUGE option !

Of course Touring car is different in this regard, depending on motor postion.

I realize most on this thread are racing TC's, however SP has an ESC that suites obviously all types of racing and tuning features !

+1 on the adjustments for offroad. For many tracks too much SC makes control in the loose sections and smooth jumps more challenging. EDIT: SC Punch is useful for making it a little easier to drive out of low traction corners.

I don't think they don't work but I need everything set on maximum to get a quick car maybe I'm adjusting the settings wrong

I'm still struggling to understand what and when which settings (12,13,14 & 15) work or when they are starting to work

How do you all set you speedo's up, what do you adjust and when do you adjust ? and when is it a gearing problem not a speedo setting that's wrong, as I've said before someone really needs to write a new supercharger manual, all the manuals online seem to be for the old software.

S.A.W don't worry I get Speed Passion info, The manual will be released soon
on SP Site, about 528 MOD and 528 Stock.

and for while safer start Settings,
1) FDR Follow Motor Recommendation for No timing Software.
2) Raise your FDR when using timing Software, and set all settings to the lowest
for safer settings
3) Then Try to increase your settings, step by step and feel it, not to forget check Motor Temps and ESC Temps.

above is just a safe suggestion, SP Manual will only tell Recommended Settings.
Once you follow SP Instruction, you are on the right path.
it's designed to fit on all Speed Passion Motor's, Others might required Motor's
Factory recommendation, based to the difference of actual physical timing and Windings Method.
other anomalies, might not from it's settings.

good luck.

S.A.W i remember that you are using the V1_508NO_Timing Software
that will not work on those settings.

No I'm running the 100528 on a GT2.1. 13.5t

Today I had a local race meeting and started with 5.70fdr and

4-8
9-8
12-9
13-3
14-3
15-2

the car was way too slow nearly 2 laps slower so then went back to 6.53 and

4-7
9-8
12-7
13-3
14-5
15-2

better but still not quick enough to keep up with the others. Then just tried the same settings but put the motor timing upto 10deg from 5deg and was noticably quicker, then tried

12-9
13-2
14-4
15-1

which seem to be the best I could get, did try something else but can't remember what and in the end went back to these settings.

Qualified 9th in the A and ended up coming 6, almost got 5th, not bad. So that's pretty much all the timing maxed out and just the deley and rpm slightly below the quickest settings. Motor came off about 60deg with no fan.

Good on ya for trying some changes. I would say you are on the right track. The only thing i'd change would be 15 to be 2. It just confirms that 10 degrees motor timing and a higher FDR (in the 6's or 7's) is always faster than a lower FDR (in the 5's) with less motor timing.

Our track is one of the biggest tracks around and I am running 6.2. I could see no reason to run in the 5's unless you are on one of the biggest of tracks in the world.

It's pretty fast and open with a 45m straight, only really slow bit is a tight chicane.

Yes I might try that, I've only tried the SP motors at 5deg and 10deg.

What will that do ? less punch infield, maybe lower motor temp and a bit more top end ?

I don't understand what and when 12,13,14 & 15 work or start working

Take a look at the attached SC starting points guide to get you going. Also just as reference point to gain understanding I've also attached the GT 2.1 Prostock document for 422, don't get hung up on the numbers but again use it for understanding the different parameters.
