Thanks jilles that's what i have been running with ur settings and it makes the car easier to drive

U have also been using the harder sway bar up front which also settles the car down but this may be ovEr kill and be slowing me down

Looking forward to meeting you again at titc

Hello Jilles,

here my beginning Setup for Carpet Indoor circuit. The most Indoor circuits had close curves.

@jilles: yeah, lets see ... will surely let you know. i know that's what you were targeting as well. im sure minus the glitches you'd have made 27 easily. as for consistency and backmarkers, well .... it's part of it. please let me know about RC City. Am keeping my fingers crossed that TITC will be run there. Reason also why i dint go last year was partly because it was at RC Addict .... just seems to much of a speed track unlike RCS which so perfect for great racing. Will keep in touch ... am hoping things work out with the MTCC that I'm planning for.

I follow your suggestion to use the LRP additive today. It's Great!

I believe SpeedTech has them made themselves. Not sure they are available anywhere else.

That is correct,
speedtech has some company that makes them.

I am trying to find a local worshop that can make
about 10 pieces for me.

Hello Jilles,

I have some questions of rear gear diff:

1. What volume did you fill the oil into the gear diff case in 2010 WC?

2. Which viscosity of the oil did you use in the other races after the 2010 WC? And how about the oil volume in these races?

3. I have no idea of the oil volume in the gear diff case. Different volume with different viscosity oil shows different performance. Would you please give some advice or experience of it?

Thank you.

You should be able to make the 27 laps, your car was fast enough, little more consistant and not too many backmarkers, haha! Good luck saterday and let me know how things went!

Jilles
hey jilles! how's it going? I still havent made 27 laps ... but i've done 28! so did JP last saturday! even i was shocked!

No such luck meneer, if you look at the number of new parts required an upgrade would work out almost as costly as purchasing a new TRF417.

New Bottom Deck
New Top Deck
New Shock Towers
New Bulkeads
New One Piece Motor Mount
New Centre Pulleys and Spur Adaptor

Good to hear you like the settings.
I have starting to use slightly lighter oil here in Thailand, suggestion from Atsushi and with little harder swaybars it works very well.

- Kiloolli
I see your set-up and looks not bad. You can try little lighter oil, 450.
I also see you use geardiff front and rear. I suggest spool if you want more steering in short corners.

-srw_g
At the worlds we all use 1000W oil. At all other races we use 1000W as well.
We tested harder but performance is worse. If you go lighter the diff leak little bit so 1000W is still best compromise.

- Gerry
That is amazing! Well done! I quess you guys had really good track condition or we will see some Filipino's at the next Worlds in the A-main!!
Really a shame I can't come next month, I'm sure it will be a nice race!
Keep in touch!

- charl mac
All parts of the 417 will fit on the new Lipo chassis. You might want to have the 19T pulli, the motormount and the new steering bridge.
But I'm sure you will keep up with the competition with your current 416X!!
