I usually don't use any weight as my car is at 1403g without any lead added

I just used the 5g weight for safety and as I did not have a black one with me I put it somewhere where you could not see it *G*

I hate things that are neither black nor blue *G*

Hey Martin, when using the outer hole on the steering blocks, did you have to switch to longer tie rods for the steering link? I think kit ones are 27mm long. But they seem too short when using the outer hole. Seems the ball cups flex too much. Your thoughts on this?

On my car, I use BX cups as I think they look nicer

but I just had a look at my teammates car and he's using the standard ballcups without any problems.
Seems fine so I wouldn't bother too much really.

We are on our way to a national qualification race

6am and the highway is nearly empty, very relaxing lol

track will be tight and (hopefully) rather high traction

Sounds good. Thanks. I'll have to try that setting tomorrow. Suppose to be 100°F. Maybe I'll fry some motors!

Best of luck to ya! Let us know your setup for a tight track. I wouldn't mind trying it at a local track. Thanks.

I'm assuming just looking at the BD5 the suspension will be direct fit with BD? Like CVD, C-hub, arms, steering knuckles etc....

I can't remember off the top of my head, but you would need to change over the whole suspension, and even then, I'm not sure if it would work. It's been years since I had a regular BD. The new BD5 uses thicker inner suspension pins compared to the old suspension if I remember correctly. So mating the new suspension to the old car will depend if you can fit the new suspension pins to the old suspension blocks. Or, not sure if the holes line up to run the new suspension blocks on the old BD. I don't remember. But I do know the axles are different from the BD5 to the BD.

Hi,

The parts stated are NOT compatible,

the belts, the center pulley and main direct gear adapter will fit

I agree, BD is still very good car. Why would you want to change the suspension parts?
