finally got those damn stripped screws out!!!
since ive taken apart my entire rear and front end, including suspension, what size springs are standard. short or long?
and can tamiya short springs be used?

also, im not sure if i have the one-way or spool front diff(havent been in this hobby long enough...). how can i tell?

Hey Martin, when using the outer hole on the steering blocks, did you have to switch to longer tie rods for the steering link? I think kit ones are 27mm long. But they seem too short when using the outer hole. Seems the ball cups flex too much. Your thoughts on this?

On my car, I use BX cups as I think they look nicer

but I just had a look at my teammates car and he's using the standard ballcups without any problems.
Seems fine so I wouldn't bother too much really.

We are on our way to a national qualification race

6am and the highway is nearly empty, very relaxing lol

track will be tight and (hopefully) rather high traction

I'm assuming just looking at the BD5 the suspension will be direct fit with BD? Like CVD, C-hub, arms, steering knuckles etc....

I can't remember off the top of my head, but you would need to change over the whole suspension, and even then, I'm not sure if it would work. It's been years since I had a regular BD. The new BD5 uses thicker inner suspension pins compared to the old suspension if I remember correctly. So mating the new suspension to the old car will depend if you can fit the new suspension pins to the old suspension blocks. Or, not sure if the holes line up to run the new suspension blocks on the old BD. I don't remember. But I do know the axles are different from the BD5 to the BD.

any1 know if the titanium screw kits are universal?
i saw a set for sale, but it says its for the BD. im guessing it might fit the bd5...

titanium screw kits are universal..but some size might cannot use on BD5...
