New charger question
I got a new indi 16x5xv6 charger and when I tell it to charge 4 3300 nimh cells at 5,6, or 7 amps it will only charge them at 4.7 during the first part of the charge and will not get over 4.88 by the end of the charge. Why is this?

What power supply are you using?
It could be limiting the power the charger gets, sounds like it has a 5amp output and the charger uses a little of it for basic running whilst the rest gets used to charge your cells.

I am using a Novak 10 amp power supply. The charger will charge my 6 cell packs at up to 7 amps, just not the 4 cell.

This is for the 16X9v6, but the program is the same for the 16X5v6.
I am referring to the middle of the page were it shows the max amperage (charge rate) for the different number of cells.
Look at 4 cells, the maximum is 4.85A
