Yeah, maybe goin up for Mod. But for stock and 19t... it might be different. I'll see how it goes. I dunno. Just something someone was wondering who races both an XRay and 415. He notices a difference in how the car's power is throughout the run in stock class. I know for the TA05 the internal is 2.25:1. But TechRacing made the 18t pulley to reduce that down to 2.0:1. Xray is a pretty good car for stock class. Internal is 1.7:1. Corally is 2.0:1. So I'm just doin some testing.

hey guys, I've been trying to shim up some sloppy areas on my MSX the last few days and I'm down to one area which is troubling me. How do you guys take care of sloppyness in the front steering linkage plate (part#4305556) ? There is a lot of up/down movement around the bearings which are seated in it.

I remember if you superglue the steering plate bearings in place, that takes out some slop too. (axle shims as Burlap said helps too) Just too bad as I was looking at this.. I noticed my MSX steering plate is cracked!! I guess I won't be testing out the final drive reduction unless if I can get a spare here before Saturday.... Looks like I may have to order an aftermarket one. Oh well.. plan B.. EvoIV.... Hmmm wait a sec.. I could always try the 18t pulley with 415 diff gears in my TA05...

Think your drive shaft is a little short...Should get longer ones.

Bow on the track, I find that drivetrain to be very smooth and efficient. I'm gonna stick to it, and if you tell me that Tech Racing makes a 18T centre pulley kit that fits the car, as soon as i'm going to run out of pulleys i'll get that (i.e. since my first pulley is 4 months old and not worn out yet, i'm probly gonna have to wait till next year before i run out of pulleys, lol).
Also notice, TryHard's got a set of pulley/belts since march and hasn't tried it yet, what is he waiting for ?

415msx
hi i was wondering if i could get some help i really need it i have set my car up 415msx and i have put my droop at 3 mm all round and have xray spring 33pound on front and 28 on the back 60 w oil all round but i just cant seem to get the car low enough i run on carpet foam super grippy and im wanting to run 4 to 4.5mm ride height on front and 5mm on the back but i cant change the ride height my shock are all the way up the only way i can see is the droop or is there another way can some one help me thanks alot matt
you could get the MS shock towers that will raise your shocks a few mm and sort your problem out. Or cheaper solution but depending on how much lower you need to get it might not work, get the new aluminium springs retainers that makes your springs sit 1mm lower ref 53876.
