There is a pic of the back of marcs car. As you can see its got the tamiya blue rear hubs on it and you can see a HPI packet in the back ground. Rick

thanks for the info on the spool rick, makes sense now
looking at some of the other pictures though, it looks like marc has plastic rear hubs on the a car I'm going to assume that he ran the Alu ones, as the Worlds kit comes with them
Also after a bit more studying, I noticed that it looks like marc was running a flipped F-R block
(this image http://www.radiocontrol.gr/galleries...rlds200434.jpg), and the sweep of the front arms is quite dramatic (http://www.radiocontrol.gr/galleries...rlds200438.jpg), so I guess he was running lots of inboard front toe-out.
Given that they are included in the worlds kit, I would assume the X-series blocks were in use somewhere on the car.

Ok people,
Since it has been some time since the Worlds ended I think it is ok to post the pics from www.radiocontrol.gr in larger form. All pics in that website from the Worlds were taken by me.
I can confirm the following:
During the whole event Marc's car was fitted with:
1. Alu. spool up front with derlin outdrives. You cannot find it anywhere...
2. HPI rear uprights (not TAMIYA aluminum)
3. HPI silver springs
4. Non Tamiya sway bars
Because the derlin outdrives failed in one qualifyer they tried a spool with metal or aluminum outdrives for less risk. Immediately the car lost steering... or simply wasn't as good as before.
Here are some high resolution pics..

on the pictures of Marc's car there is, i guess 4mm of spacing on the steering rack under the ball-end, using this as a tuning option is somthing ive never tried mainly because i dont really know what the effects of changing this spacing are, what are they?
thanks
