If you like Drew's profile.. youll love "The One" from Melvin at Nexus Racing. It has more punch and top end then Drews. There isnt a speed control that i have gone up against that I couldnt match or beat... More punch out of the Turns and More top end on the straights..... My driving has to catch up though.

guys hows it going
i have been running this speedo for over a year, when i got it i ran primarily onroad, so i just used the setup that drew ellis used at nats....that setup in my tc was dialed...never changed it....motor ran cool, plenty of spped to keep up with the tekin and lrp...
i have since swiched to running a sc 10 on a indoor carpet track, we are running on a small 60x 40 track, that has jumps and what not....we are also running 17.5 motors...(mine is a duo 2)
i tried drews setup, it was too soft, couldnt make the jumps,
i tried the goop setup, didnt work well either, motor got hot, even on low timing....
i went to the #5 stock 1.5 setup and it works well, i am on timing 3, motor set to 20 deg....motor runs at 170 ish after a 6 min race.....
the truck still seems to lack punch, compared to the others at my track, (mostly novak havok systems...)
i have geared all over the board, andget the same result....
is there anyplace to tell me how to set up the spedo??
i know about the timing, the drag brake, and the brake freq...
i am not clear on what type of curve would work on the drive freqs...
any help would be great...i have 2 of these speedos, i am seriously thinking of going to tekin simply because there is no info out there for this speedo..
thanskfor the help

Try "The One" Profile from Melvin at nexus.... This speed control is top of the line... but it takes a while to get used to it.
A good starting point is:
Each slider represents the throttle position. There are 32 sliders. Slider 1 is the first initial movement of the trigger, slider 16 is half throttle, slider 32 is full throttle.
Lower frequency (higher position on the chart) gives more torque less runtime. Higher frequency (lower on the chart) gives more speed more runtime.

It takes the KO Staff or Melvin to explain the science behind this Speedo. once you get it, its not hard. I have played around with it and always go back to Melvins profile... I have never had a need to change it.
Try putting everything flat on the speedo... raise the first two or three sliders and then see what difference that makes. Lower the first 2 or 3 and see what difference that makes. This is the only way you will truely gain understandign

Tech Master
Ran against it last weekend, no competition. It's like they are running a motor one rank above. I ran against a 13.5 with my 10.5 and they can keep up no problem. Kinda cheat imo. I hope KO is working on something...
