I have had greater failure with the Tamiya 3 ring setup. The XRAY units dont get nearly as mushy as the Tamiya units do after months of use.

What hole are you using in the XRay saver? Did you shim your servo away from the mount so the steering rack would clear it?

No doubt. I saw a post from someone saying they put a second black spring in the Tamiya saver, but I tried that and it wouldn't clear the 1pc servo mount.

Ideally I should have redrilled the XRAY servo saver hole about .5mm below the top most hole.
In the past I would have gone to the aluminum arm for the outdoor season but that was until I found the XRAY 'optimized' servo saver

Dremel a half millimeter or so off the 1pc mount (maybe less) under the 4th spring. Half inch drum sander does the job nicely and you can't see it once its all put back together.

Top hole on the XRAY servo with 3mm of spacers under the ballstud link on the rack. You might have to relieve .025mm of material on the buttom side of the top deck. It might 'brush' the top deck without the additional clearance.

Good call, thanks.

Thinking about shimming the drivetrain up 1mm in order to flatten the driveshaft angle. Can I expect more traction or less. Never used this adjustment when I had a conventional TC so was considering giving it a go. Anyone who knows what effect raising the diffs has please chime in.
