Nosram 3.5 BL ! ! ! !
Hi , i have an nosram 3.5 BL motor with the 13mm rotor and the thin front plate.
When i was running it in my cyclone , it was making a sound of two gears not meshing properly .
So i went to work on my car , took the rear cover off , the front plate off and the rotor , i changed to a 12.5 mm rotor and still the same noise .
So i put everything back on with the 13mm rotor and i havent used it yet.
Could someone tell me whats wrong with it please ?
Thanks

If it sounds like the gears aren't meshing properly maybe they aren't. Gears wear and sometimes they don't mesh right no matter what, maybe try new gears. Check the bearings aren't dry otherwise check parts of the drive train aren't causing the noise.

I had the same noise on LRP 3.5T.
It turned out for me that it was the bearing in the front plate either slipping inside the plate or on the rotor shaft. Also should note, that not long after I noticed this the shaft snapped at the pinion end, right near the front plate bearing.

Well i have checked the mesh and its ... perfect so its not the gearing mesh also i took the motor in my hand and i just throtle a bit ( because its bad unloded ) and it made the noise so its not the gearing mesh .
I have checked the front plate and its bot this probleme ???

More info of what happened : I was going fast when sudenly the car stoped . I throtled the car didnt move then i throtled back and the car went forward ( like normal ) and the car ran well , it was like normal but the motor was making the funny noise . So the motor was working wel but it had the noise .

I mean the outer race of the bearing, is spinning inside where it mounts to the motor, when it should stay still. Only the inner race fo the bearing should spin.
Also check and clean your sensor. Sometimes oil gets flung from the bearing, onto the sensor. Finally, make sure the sensor wire from the motor isnt damaged or not plugged into the ESC all the way.
