Would someone please give me a link to a decent step nose body that fits the F1R and looks good. I've read that the ones on ebay are kind of crap, but if those are the only ones available then I guess I will have to buy one. Not sure what scheme I am going to paint it in. Thanks!

If you want a step nose body your choice is really down to the Speed Passion or the Tamiya F2012, or finding the chinese bodies on ebay.

I am back from a not quite successful testing day with my Brabham BT-45.
Before I start something for the eyes:

This is the car in with the bigger rear tires I mentioned some posts before. The car looks awesome on track!

Unfortunately the big rear tires are no good The used foam doesn't seem to hard, but has no traction at all. With tire additive it comes alive for some minutes before losing traction again. After some dissapointing testruns I gave up and changed back to the nitro tc foams. These were two seconds faster and deliver much more traction overall. I could lower my personal best with this car around two tenth. So I am not unhappy after all, but it sucks that the large rear tires didn't deliver the hoped for performance on asphalt.

Hi Antonio, Usually you should use Tamiya PS-60 but it is discontinued
and harder to find,(almost impossible). The one used in my Ferrari F2012
is Tamiya PS-2. See Attached Photos. Saludos

What shore are your rear tires? There are wide nitro foam tires but the softest shore is 35 i think. You can cut the foam off these wheels and double up 25 shore F104 tires. What is the diameter of the wheels your using now?

I am working on a Lauda version, will post pictures when im done

I continue with my testing on wednesday. Therefore I prepared my F104v2. I changed the front axle to the standard I used in the BT-45b. I built one unit that can be mounted with two screws on the F104 chassis.

Together with F103 rear tires it will become a 200mm wide car. Right now I use old tc foam tires on the front, but with a bushing the original F104 front tires can be mounted. Now I am curious if I can beat my F1 best of 15,98s.
