I think I might finally buy a dedicated battery for my F104 Exotek. I think I am going to go with a shorty pack. What shorty packs have you guys tried and liked? I wish some of the available packs were a touch shorter since you have to space the top deck up to clear the battery.

I'm using the Intellect 50C 4400mah shorty in my F104X1. Seems to be working pretty well so far.

Just picked up a few Turnigy Nanotech 4200mah 65C packs. They are a bit shorter height wise and a tad bit lighter than the Intellect. We'll see how well it performs though...

Just got a CRC 4200 shorty. Cant compare to any other shorties, but it beats the pants off regular size batteries.

Running the Roche Silverback shorty as used in the ETS series.
Have put a little piece of foam at the back agains the battery locator and then put the shorty in.
Fixed it with 2x 5 grams of balancing weights at the front and use the short top deck so i can plug in my battery connectors without problems.
Works like a charm and can drive the F104W Pro almost like a TC

regards Roy

Too bad for Seb he made a boneheaded pass on the final lap and lost his 2nd place podium spot with 20 sec penalty .. Alonso . Button . Raikkonen make the 1-2-3 .

i knew there was going to be, as soon as his rear right tyre went over the corner ... he had room it was so apparent ... rules say drive through penalty during race or 20 second penalty at end of race ..

i've been a kimi raikkonen fan for years so glad to see him get the points and kobayashi score some more for sauber ..

Not calling anyone out, just a thought and suggestion.

Why must enthusiastic f1 fans of r/c curve our enthusiasm for those who have not watched the real F1 for days after the event?

Much better if you simply avoid any thread pertaining to F1 including this thread until such time you have watched the event?

Understood there is another thread in chat lounge for real F1, but we are r/c fanatics that is why we paint our cars to be realistic, have realistic F1 races and have an F1 rc car thread.

Expecting total non reference to real f1 is to me a Buzzkill.

Group 1: Buzzkill for spoiling an event that has been done for days already.
Group 2: Buzzkilll we are not allowed to show our enthusiasm for F1 with our toy cars and some reference to the real event. We want linkage between real and our toys. Going to chat lounge does not cater to that.

F that.

No full scale F1 results in the RC threads.
Just common courtesy.

Those in favor say aye.

Aye.
