If anyone has been looking for an mint HPI Super F1, I have put mine up for sale in the BST thread, given I am downsizing.

I'm not sure yet. Walmart used to carry their full line of paints and such for model kits but not anymore apparently. Back when my Dad and I raced offroad we used a candy apple blue color w/ a light metal flake in it that is really close to the Toro Rosso color. I'll probably spray a few test samples and compare w/ the decals when they arrive.

I got two big boxes delivered today from RCMart Can't wait to get off work and start assembling my F103 hybrid and getting the bodies prepped for paint.

Put some time in a WRC LeMans body last week & finished it with the livery of a Dutch Racing team:

The picture can be clicked for more pictures as they're quite large.

New Ride Gr feedback:

rims are stronger than Xr rims.

they have a little more overall steering than the XR.

More Stable not as twitchy as pit 571, which is usually tops at our track

If you are a driver who likes to use the push brake and trail brake into the corner they are pretty ideal, very stable under braking and linear steering feel.

If you like drag brake and let off then turn the pits are probable faster. I couldn't get as much entry corner speed nor as hard of turn in, with the new rides this way as the Pits, usually about two tenths off the Pits

Another Player in the mix..

Any of the OG racers might remember Kawada as a major player in the early sedan game. Though not as prevalent in the US, they have a large presence in Asia.

Welcome to KAWADA

I've always liked Kawada.

I still have their sedan wheels on my shelf queen. Interesting setup on the side damper tubes. I'm guessing there's a bellcrank setup in there somewhere. But at least you an run lower profile sidepod bodies (ie. Protoform 15).

Looking to get into F1, recommend the x1 17, yr-10 ets or RC10f6?

I've always been curious about their stuff (I swear by their spur gears) but even the decent shops that carry them (RCMart etc) seem to have limited spare parts support and that stops me taking the leap

Most of the current F1's are pretty close performance wise (though everyone will have a fave)

My advice - go with the one that has the best local parts support.

yes I am on a theme today
