If your set on keeping away from top deck, you can mount the pack so it keeps out from under the top deck on the 007. You have to angle it though. See Kody at SIR, he has 2 Thunder Power 5000's mounted to our plates for his 008.

Kevin,

Just picked up a 008EU and was wondering if you ever put together one of these plates for the 008/009? I love my TC5 plate and use it all the time. The TC5 plate is going to a new owner soon and I'd have a void in my pit without that gorgeous, functional chunk of billet aluminum to transport, store, and ultimately get the tweak out of my car!

Damn...almost makes you want to hang onto that TC5 huh!

I did this as a specialty item and just barely broke even. That said although I do own a 007, and had requests for that plate (008 and 009), I believe you'll find the 2.5mm chassis are less prone to tweak then the 2.0mm. So, for right now I dont have a plan to make an Xray version, but if / when the economy picks up again I may re-consider again.

Have fun with the new ride, and thank you for the patronage!

Any chance of a special run on Lipo plates for the Cyclone TC that fit in the chassis cutouts?

Actually yes. I did the Cyclone and still have a few left. Here is more info on the Cyclone.

Woops...just re read the post. You want the lipo plate. Yes on that. I have an all new design that I'm working on but am unfortunately waiting for better economic timing to release. It will be fully adjustable, with options to balance different weight packs and move around on the chassis to just where you want it. I expect 30-60 days at best before releasing.

Kevin,

Thanks for the prompt response. LOL @ keeping the TC5...if only your plates would keep all the parts from wearing down so quickly!

I still get compliments on the TC5 setup plate I got from you and people were standing in line to get it from me with offers and asking where to get them.

Hopefully the economy turns around soon for us all and I'll keep in touch and watch for updates on the LiPo plates too as they made for a great ballast system for me and I am eager to see what you have up your sleeve next.

Are you going to make a run of Tamiya TRF-416 plates?

Thats OK Adam....just send me the Mi4 and I'll take my sweet time checking it out.

Really though...thank you and hope to see one soon here in the PNW.

Steve, that was next on the list prior to the downturn. When things pick up again I still plan to do the 416. Timing again too soon to tell, but I'll post here when things loosen up some.

Any plans on releasing a second batch of the tc5 setup plates?

How does this compare to the Hudy all in one tweak plate in the kit?

Will the Hudy tweak station work just as well?

Yes, we do still intend to make a second run for the TC5. There have been plenty of requests, just have been having issues with shop time for a small job...production has been taking most of the spindle hours.

The intent is to email out to those on the list, there are those that may have moved on since its been quite some time since run 1 sold out.

If interested to get on the list send an email to This Address. and you'll get emailed just before we run next batch.

Yes, we have a new design that will fit the 007 008 009 very well. I started a new thread on it but thread is on hold since I was told there was a rule violation within the thread. Hopefully we'll get that resolved. For now there is plenty of info on our website on the new Pit Boss.
