Thanks for the tip. As far as not running that body, the paint job can be done again. It will hurt the first time it takes a ding though. I did a new Camaro body for my TC3 and did the drywall mesh tape and goop reinforcement before it ever hit the track. The Shelby front end is even softer. I'm tempted to use the same method plus the canned foam insulation tip when I get mine ready to race. I did ask for a second set of stripe masks when I ordered so I could reproduce the paint job later. Good luck with the dialing in when you get the chance.

Thanks for the compliment.

I think the only reason I wanted a VTA car so bad was because of the realistic looks.

Awesome T/A paint jobs guys! I though I'd post up a couple of mine, the red/black/silver is the newest one--it's same scheme as the silver/black/red body from the T/A nationals but I swapped the colors around. The white/red/blue body was a "tribute" to the Greenwald vette's from the 1970's.

I pitted next to you at the Hurricane Race in Madison if that's the same silver car. That silver one is still one of the nicest looking bodies up close I've seen. I did use your tip on mounting the rear wing, and so far no issues.

Yep, that was me--thanks for the compliment, and glad I could help. Actually, for the first time ever, I had a rear spoiler break Saturady at Trackside. It was on the silver body and it took a full speed hit to the rear from a 13.5 car while I was almost sitting still waiting for a crash to clear in the sweeper. I need to get a little creative with shoo goo and lexan, but I think I can fix it. My "tabs" were still intact, but the aluminum bolts holding it on broke off at the body and the origional mounting points are completely gone.

OUTCH! Time for the Lexan welder (I wish there was such a thing.)

My latest, sorry for the crappy cell phone images. I'm going to re-do the pin stripe on the side and use a broader one and wrap it around the rear too

Well, JPS Camaro, but yes.

Carl Seils (CSeils on here) did the custom graphics for me. Even did some Team Losi Racing, Spektrum, and JR Racing Logos for me in the same color and scheme and they look awesome. I was blown away.

I can remember I had an AFX slot car that was a Corvette with that paint job. It had a big hood scoop and huge fenders. It was somewhat realistic but the Corvette lines were exaggerated.

Nice! I just finished a Hertz clone. It turned out decent so I put it on display at the hobby shop.
