It seems to be a very hard kit to find. Everyone in the US seems to be out of stock. Is it really 'between batches' or is the car nearer to being discontinued.

This might mean there is a new car in development , or near release.

I think the latest kits were built from parts in the warehouse here in Cali.

And the interest doesn't seem all that overwhelming so far.

I have fun with the one I have, and it seems competitive for club racing.

I am very pleased with my 10r5. Easy to work on and en-destructable with my beginer driving. I have been buying my cars and parts used and very cheap locally.

Rear axle and hubs
Chassis
Front sub chassis
Front brace
Bumper
Tie rods
Right and left pods
Lower pod
Upper pod
Rear brace, body mounts
Front body mounts
Shock mount

On the plus side you can reuse the servo mounts and saver plus most of the front suspension and bearings.

Probably be cheaper and easier to get a used one.

Looking at the two exploded views side by side, you need this list of parts to convert a 5.1 to 10r5. somethings like the rear pod is omitted because the lower pod assembly is the same, so no sense changing the bulkheads and upper plate. shocks are the same, the whole front suspension is the same just mounts to chassis different. kingpins had a different part number, but if somone has both cars and can compare the lengths, they may be the same.

8519 $17.99
4555 $2.00
2x 6924 $1.89
8520 $19.99
8513 $12.75
4535 $1.89
8510 $50.99
8515 $16.49
8514 $7.29
8427 $3.69
8423 $4.59
2x 8516 $7.29
8522 $3.69
8517 $19.99
8518 $2.79

basicly you need all the cf parts and new rear wheel hubs. so for $180ish you can build it if you have a 5.1. thats a whole crc almost. worth it?

The 1/10 kingpin and front springs are longer than the 1/12.

You could also reused the 1/12 rear cross bar so you wouldn't need p/n 8513. The body post is slightly wider on the 1/12.

do the kingpins HAVE to be longer? couldnt you just use more ride heigh shims and keep the stock ones? not that they are expensive but maybe an option? then just take your 12r bulkheads off and straight onto the 10..

i might gather these parts actually. wouldnt mind running wgt next year and associated wanted like $500 for the kit? screw that.

You may know, the 10r5 OVAL kit is only $175. , at the Team Associated Web Store.

I recently ordered and received 3 of each, they are certainly good to go !

But the Oval kit is not the same as the WGT kit. It is for those who only turn left.
